Bridgette Louro graduated magna cum laude from Roger Williams University in 1995 receiving a Bachelor’s of Science, majoring in Administration of Justice with a minor in Legal Studies. Bridgette then earned her law degree graduating cum laude from Roger Williams University School of Law in 1998. Bridgette was admitted to the Rhode Island Bar in November of 1998 and began working at Rhode Island Legal Services in the Responsible Parent Program. In 2000, she began working in the Domestic Violence Unit at RILS and has continued to work in the Family Law Center since representing clients in Family Court on restraining order matters, as well as divorce and custody matters. In 2013, Bridgette became the Supervising Attorney of the Safe Family Project. Bridgette has been, and continues to be, a member of a number of Domestic Violence and Family Law related committees throughout the State of Rhode Island. She has also been involved in training advocates and police officers on domestic violence issues, as well as participated in Continuing Legal Education seminars on representing domestic violence victims in Family Court.
